Disclaimer:
This class will be in-person; not online. I will not be wearing a mask while I teach, nor will I enforce any social distancing or mask-wearing of any kind. If your child would like to wear a mask, or would like to keep a 6′ distance, I will respect that, but that will be entirely up to your discretion as a parent.
About Me:
I’m Noah Johnson, and I have been creating videos since I was a child, when I made stop motion movies with my LEGOs. Flash-forward to 2014: I start my YouTube channel, and create Minecraft gaming videos. From there, I ventured into the world of editing, live-action filming, and visual storytelling. I have a passion for video, and would love to share my enthusiasm with students!
Course Description:
Students will learn how to edit video, create thumbnails, record and edit audio, use sound effects and Royalty-Free music to enhance their productions, and learn to give and take constructive criticism. We will also learn about U.S. Copyright Laws and how it affects them as a creator.
The structure of the course consists of mostly in-class exercises, projects, some lectures, and it all culminates in a final, comprehensive project that will include all skills learned throughout the class. All of the programs we will be using during the class are free, but we will spend the first day of class making sure all of them are in order.
- A laptop
- A device to record video (a camera or phone)
- Access to an internet connection
